Well, hello there

The 2009-2010 school year has come and gone!  I can't believe it went so fast.  We hope you've enjoyed keeping up with us via these newsletters all year long!  Read on for details about the end of the year activities for LOGAN Hope students, 8th grade graduation, LOGAN Hope School awards ceremony, our summer plans, our status as an organization, & how you can help.

The cast of "Beauty is a Beast"

The final weeks of the school year proved to be extremely fun for our students.  Field Day, Spirit Week, School Trips, 6 Flags Great Adventure, the list goes on.  What a great way to end a long school year!  During the last week of school the middle school students also put on a play for the whole school called "Beauty is a Beast".  They performed so well in this funny little comedy and it was obvious that they had a blast doing it.

Happy High-Schoolers

Yay!  On June 18th middle school officially ended for LOGAN Hope's 8th graders.  The graduates are excited and ready for a successful career as high school students!  The staff of LOGAN Hope is so proud of these teens and is looking forward to continuing to support them throughout their high school lives.  Congrats, guys!

And the award goes to...

Here is Mrs. Chan singing the praises of her wonderful 2nd and 3rd grade students.  On June 18th the whole school gathered to celebrate the year together.   LOGAN Hope is full of fabulous students who were each recognized by their teachers for academic or character accomplishments. Some awards were funny, some were heartfelt, but all were given and received with joy in what God is doing in the lives of these kids.

Smiles for the Summer

Elias is all smiles in this picture and I'm sure it's because of the great things coming up this summer at LOGAN Hope! June 28th starts LOGAN Hope Summer Day Camp where for $1/day kids get fun & productive activities, lunch, trips, and swimming!  What could beat that?!  We also have many volunteer teams coming in and out this summer to help us work on our new building.  LOGAN Hope also just received a generous grant to fix up our side play yard.  This project will take place in August with lots of help and volunteering from Home Depot!

Uh oh...

Channah & Phillip seem a bit worried.  It might be because the end of LOGAN Hope's fiscal year is fast approaching and it looks like we may come up short. August 31 ends our fiscal year and we have approximately $40,000 to raise by then.  Won't you consider helping us out by sending a donation?  Since we only charge 5% of the actual cost of the education we provide we are left with the huge challenge of making up the other 95% each year.  We need your support now more than ever.  Please consider sending a donation to help us through this financially difficult time.
