Goodbye Winter!
Hello there, Spring... and everyone else. It just happens to be 57 degrees today in Philadelphia as I sit to write this little update. Raining and dreary, but 57 degrees nonetheless. Rejoicing over the little things.
Spring is all about restoration, growing, newness, rebirth, and all those other positive spring-y words. In the spirit of the season this newsletter will be about all the NEW things going on at LOGAN Hope lately!
Read on for updates about:
- our new building project!
- our new website!
- our new basketball team!
- our new economy!
- volunteer groups that have given us their time... and they're
new!..?

NEW Building!
LOGAN Hope is under construction! Thus far most of the demo is DONE! Walls have been demolished, radiators & appliances removed, and dumpsters filled. If you or anyone you know is interested in coming down to help us out with this huge project for a day, weekend, week, whatever, just hit reply and let us know!

NEW Website!
So if you haven't in awhile, go ahead and check out our new website! www.loganhope.org We love the fact that it's user friendly and easy to navigate, update, and appreciate :-) You can even donate online in a super easy and secure way... hint, hint

NEW Sports Teams!
LOGAN Hope School now has sports teams! This school year LOGAN Hope put together soccer and basketball teams. Our teams are co-ed, practice regularly, play against other schools in the area, and give coaches and staff great opportunities to teach kids about teamwork and cooperation... not to mention help the kids run off some of their energy. It's been a fantastic experience for everyone involved.

NEW Economy!
LOGAN Hope has its own economy these days! Our token economy teaches our students all about economics and how the world works. They get "paid" when they wear their uniforms, are on time for class, and complete their homework. Each student has their own account and receives a regular "paycheck" with taxes deducted. They have the option to use a savings account, buy C.D.'s, or online shop at our school store. Right now our school store consists of school supplies, games, toys, and an option to donate to a local non-profit.... LOGAN Hope. For 20 "riel" (the token currency -- and the name of actual Cambodian currency) they can purchase a "building buck" which donates $1 to the new building fund. The classrooms are currently having a competition of who can fill their door with the most building bucks and as of right now, we have sold 375 ---- all from students!

NEW Helpers!
We've had lots of new people volunteering with us lately! Thanks a million, volunteers! With the help of our volunteers we've managed to complete tons of work on our new building. A big huge THANKS to our groups from:
