The Relevance of a Summer Day Camp
Summer Day Camps are easily dismissed as kiddie fun, yet they function with great importance in urban communities like ours. In the same way that staying in school has been shown to reduce gang involvement, teenage pregnancy, drug use and violence in our community, our summer day camp fills that role during the summer void.
